RETAIL: We pickle green walnuts in 325g jars in four styles:
Classic Malt This is the traditional British Style Pickled Walnut, pickled in a mildly spiced Malt Vinegar. This versatile style goes really well with any cheeses, meats or vegetables and are really good on their own with a cold beer on a hot day.
Apple Cider This recipe is also a traditional British recipe but these pickled walnuts taste really strong due to the high acetic value of the Apple Cider vinegar. They are amazing with pork belly or other high-fat content foods such as creamy bries, sheep feta or stronger tasting foods such as blue vein cheese or chilli salami. Gluten-free.
White Wine This style is based on a French recipe that uses White Wine vinegar, garlic and tarragon to give a lovely fresh savoury flavour that pairs beautifully with poultry, fish and of course any sort of cheese. Delicious with cheese and sparkling wine. Gluten-free.
Chilli These walnuts are pickled in spiced Malt Vinegar that has had chilli added to give a little more bite to the flavour. These are perfect with any cheeses, meats or on their own with cold beer - our Aussie favourite.
In addition to the 325g jars, we pack our pickled walnuts in chefs boxes ready for catering. These are available in the Classic Malt and Apple Cider styles only. They are 1.2kg (drained weight) of whole pickled walnuts. Please contact us here if you would like to order a chef's box.
